The Dowling Trio

The Dowling Trio came together driven by a shared passion for music and an insatiable appetite for enjoyment. At our core, we savor the nuances of exceptional music, crafting it to create delightful experiences. Our purpose is clear: to revel in music and extend enjoyable entertainment to those who engage our services. Comprising three exceptionally gifted musicians: Cellist: Samuel Creer, based in London, graduated from the London College of Music in 2017, launching a career as a sought-after session cellist. His notable engagements span 'A Bench on the Edge' (Tristan Bates Theatre), 'Closets the Musical' (Hope Mill Theatre, Manchester), 'When Midnight Strikes' (Upstairs at The Gatehouse, London), and 'Metamorphoses 2' (Waterloo East Theatre, London). His performances extend to prestigious venues, including The French Embassy, The Royal Hospital Chelsea, and Abbey Road Studios. Violinist: Yoshinori Hayashi, with degrees in Music and Historical Musicology, honed his violin expertise under Dr. Devorina Gamalova at Goldsmiths College and the London College of Music. His orchestral and chamber music contributions have been highlighted, and he has been tutored by renowned violinists Mark Lubotsky and Stephane Tran Ngoc. Yoshinori's talents have been showcased internationally, including performances led by former Kodaly Quartet violinist Michael Barta. Pianist: Mark Dowling, a seasoned pianist and educator, lends his expertise to primary and secondary schools as a licensed BYMT teacher. His accomplishments span accompanying St Joseph's choir, performing piano recitals, and contributing as a tenor singer in the South London Singers. Mark's engagements extend to Brent Jazz Orchestra, Bromley Concert Band, and collaborative projects with Benedikt Stroher. The Dowling Trio has graced diverse stages, from intimate 90th birthday gatherings to resplendent weddings and solemn church services. Our repertoire is equally dynamic, traversing classical gems by Haydn and Mozart, the syncopated rhythms of Scott Joplin and Edward MacDowell, and heartwarming Christmas carols and mass settings. Beyond convention, we've skillfully arranged pop classics from the Beatles and the Bangles, and ventured into the realm of 'Bridgerton' with pop melodies crafted for classical instrumentation. Our ensemble thrives on innovation and adaptability. We are virtuosos who sculpt sound and create seamless experiences.
